ARE WE LIVING IN MAD WORLD?

Two days back I took one of my female labor to doctor for some check up, on the way to hospital she said “my head is spinning because of so much vehicles, traffic sound of blowing horn.” Next day she told me that for rest of the day she had headache. On listening this I was looking her face and felt that she was quite serious, and I thought is it really so abnormal and are we all Mad who have to face such mess everyday . We are proudly habitual of all this. This was nothing new to listen but I was left in between a thought that why we get habitual of all this , do we really yearn for this and answer was definitely NO we do not like this, everyone complain about traffic and this fast life. Alas, we give all our life for something we are never completely contented with. We are all really getting insane just notice our behavior while driving we all abuse in some or the other way.

Mobiles are now a necessity, it is a mode, which is very useful, but at the same time, it is a distressing thing. We have no privacy at any point of time in life. I am convinced that it brings more convenience but now we have double sim and triple sim mobiles. Do we want to convert in a machine?

Advertisement is undoubtedly another way to drive all of us barmy. We have hoardings all around full of ads. Radio, and television are full on in loud noise, it seems that the purpose is to keep human mind always keep filling human mind. Above all this advertisement are getting so called educated mothers nutty to keep their children germ free, 3 decades back was their no hygiene habits, were children dying were people not healthy? They were healthier and immune system was stronger than ever. It is normal if children will have fun with dust. They are deprived of real childhood. I hate it when I see children eating food in front of television absolutely lost in stupid cartoon channels.

The more we are getting into this entire jumble of going away from the nature, the more we are being of unsatisfied nature, we are always bored, we always want to do something if we sit alone several things come and go in our mind and an anxiety always remains there. In this new world, we are introduced to a number of new and bizarre physical and mental problems. Our children do not know or do not bother to recognize more of their relatives but they know all cartoon characters, they do not know how to be with nature but they are well familiar with all electronic and mobile gadgets. I am not talking against technology but Human need to set the limit somewhere.

When I see old movies, old songs I think were those people not happy without so many forms of expressions, zero figure, branded dresses, big cars. I really miss that simplicity and warmth in people. I miss the craze we had for summer holidays, water cooler ki thand, comics, home made chutnnis and sauces, Sunday rangoli, watching a weekly movie together with family. I don’t think today’s kids have significance and respect for what they get in life and off course they are not to blame for that, it’s the pace of world where children grow very fast in their eventful life.

In the James Cameroon movie AVTAAR, I still remember a thing avatar says about our human world was “send human back to their mad world”.

BIMARU State Tag for Madhaya Pradesh

Is M P still a BIMARU state. It is so unfortunate to say yes, I certainly accept that with a heavy heart but this is how MP is generally known. I just do not say this because no city from MP is in the list of being a Metropolitan but I feel that such states are big opportunities for any political party (in power) to earn for their generation. Well even this is not really the case as our politians are so competent that they can make money anywhere although they have been saying that India is a poor country. Can a poor country afford a fraud like 2G spectrum and all other alike swindles? Where does this money go? Probably into personal accounts of politians and their high profile agents.

Today I see the disadvantages of a weak and inactive opposition. Present government has been very providential since the opposition does not raise its voice against significant issues. In 10 years span of previous government, another political party was in power in Center so there was not really a strong support from Center in terms of fund for development plans to be executed. Though available resources were not even used appropriately and conditions worsen. Nevertheless, in present scenario ample funds are released from center for development purposes and are being used in MP however, no credit is given to center for that. For eg Ladli Lakshmi Yojna, JNNURM all these are projects of center. Interestingly it is more amused to see that officials are not able to make use of these funds and that “lapses” every year on account of NOT BEEN USED.

In last 5 years PWD and Municipal Corporation ( Nagar Nigam) had so much funds that MP could have been on the top of hygine/ sanitary segment. Again, there was a failure to use fund. I do not say that nothing has been done, after having so much Bhopal and all other cities of M P could have had all the required flyovers. Every time once in 6 months officials come, do a survey, and do all those exercises although the result is nothing. I really call for a well-organized opposition.

There were so many basis of rejection of previous government, its time to compare all the list with Previous government failures and present government achievements like population, roads, traffic etc. second term of present government is going to complete soon but what is the standing. AIMS is in no good condition, I can not even dream of any IIT park, no fly overs, corrupt and mushrooming education sector, no conversation for small scale industries, and agriculture is still an individual exercise without any sustainable or practical support. With such progress rate BIMARU tag seems to continue for some more in MP.

I am not acting as a critique nor supporting opposition but I am a common person it is my voice, I crave for transparency for the reason that it be previous government or present I am the ultimate sufferer, only victim and always at the receiving end.

Boredom and Relationships

Many times we have seen people saying, and even I say life is so boring. This is such a commonly and casually used term these days especially by the people of our age group. Have we really ever thought why it is so? Quite a heavy topic to write on isn’t it?

In our life the so called enthusiasm or happening factor is so short. This is one of human nature to overcome things easily and get bored. There are different kinds of boredom we face like with games, social networking (if we don’t make new friends), chatting, bikes, job etc. Similarly in our relations also once a time come when it is settled like marriage, whether love or arranged boredom slowly enters in life. Until one is married some kind of excitement is there to talk or to meet but soon after marriage or after some years of relations why we feel that something, that liveliness is missing. In present scenario couples even get bored after 1 or 2 years of their relation and to add vigour they search for other people just to add some thrill in life. This is a very common human psychology that whenever we get something (to which we desperately look forward to) we are over it. It is clear then that relations are today sought as an achievement and based on materialism and needs. I don’t know mean to say that it is something off beam but there is definitely something strange about it. I am saying this on the basis of complaints heard from girls and boys about the short age of their relationships has shorten a lot that’s because we take relation materialistically like any other thing in life. I feel very sad when I hear versions of couple that they do not talk much and do not enjoy in each other’s company after their marriage or after being in relation for a particular time irrespective of the fact that it is the same person whom you always wanted to be yours.
We all know that the most important (personal experience) factor of any relationship is friendship between the two. No partner should change after being in a relationship, off course a relation has its own demand but don’t change that you appear a different person with whom the other established the relation. After four years of my marriage it’s not that I don’t feel monotonous and boring sometimes with the same pattern of life but that’s how it is! and that’s what I wanted. Then I see my life whether actually I need to cry over something, is there really an issue or again my human tendency needs some fuel to be tensed, then I recall the time that how I wanted to be with my beloved who is now my companion. This is life….it is never perfect and so we are perfect with our imperfections.
No relationship, no person, no achievement can give us ultimate satisfaction and we will get bored of it sooner or later and if we are satisfied then not because of what we have but because we are not running considering life a race. Ultimate satisfaction can only be achieved through spirituality. …………..

ELECTRICITY: without this word life is unimaginable today it is our basic need but again I would say my favorite line that POPULATION INCREASE is affecting this also.
In India the setup we have for the supply of electricity is age old, approx more than 50 years and it is causing more wastage of electricity. Present arrangement is based on 440 W polls system for the supply i.e. these polls uses 440 W current to supply of electricity to houses etc. But now we have new technology where only 220 W electricity is used for supply purpose which means almost 50% of energy is saved. This system needs an urgent attention for a change because that may save our resource.
All this can be done with a sound strategy and off course by a private organization. One by one cities should be covered, this will cause inconvenience but it is also caused when roads are constructed or any development work takes place. Central government is releasing money for development works in States so it has to consider New Technology Electricity System also. And we people will try to contribute to the money if it is made sure that this new setup will definitely come soon. Though that whole process is very expensive and will require huge expenditure and may be this is why even after such a need government is not able to execute it. To even think about changing present system is very difficult because government always claims that they do not have money but they do have money… we all know government has money.

Let me give an example: 1n 2009 Bhopal department of Municipal Corporation and Public Welfare Department (PWD) was allotted money in crores which they could not finish! Can we believe this? THEY COULD NOT FINISH IT ! And that money has gone over and this is a fact just about Bhopal. One or two days back I came to see an article in local newspaper about the use of solar energy equipments for making electricity and other daily uses. I am very happy that finally government is realizing the significance of solar energy as now reasonable amount as subsidy is also provided on these equipments though still it is expensive to afford those solar equipments. If government would have wanted then in all these years there had been so much electricity from solar energy because India is immensely blessed with solar energy. We all know that no system can fulfill the required demand of present population but management of available resources is equally important as it assures proper utilization of it. We are already distressed of shortage of electricity and soon there would increase in prices of electricity very shortly in MP which is a bad news. I know being “people” some might feel that it is easy to pen down things and give suggestion to government but I know the magnitude of what I am saying, it is a task to even think of changing any new system in such densely populated country.

Daily wagers and their Agony

One day I happened to talk to a daily wager of Municipal Corporation of Bhopal {MCB} and I told him that he will be made regular (permanent in his Government job) which I read in Dainik Jagran of 12th April 2010. He was instead of being happy said that they keep on hearing such news which are never executed on the contrary he told me MCB daily wagers have not got their salary for 4 months since Jan. 2010. And we would not be actually surprised to know the reasons as I feel, are not even clear to those who work in MCB, whoever is asked come forward with different answers.

Reason no 1. An Enquiry about genuine & fake workers is going on.

Reason no 2 Due to election salary distribution could not take place.

These are all 4th class employees, and their salary is an amount is already minimal which can fulfill basic needs of their family and if it is either delayed or brings to a halt for some reason it becomes difficult for them to survive.

Have we ever heard any first class officer salary put to a halt? Why do only weak suffers from the system or the salary of high rank officers of MCB was also not given for all these months. If any enquiry has to be conducted, it should be done fast. Most interesting fact is when any of these daily wagers are needed in to work in home of any officer they are found from anywhere but this so called enquiry never comes to a conclusion nor to an end.

I have full faith on verdict of Judiciary and hope that the recent decision as mentioned in the (Article of Dainik Jagran) would be really executed in 3 months without any hurdles. I was forced to write about this because this is weird with the departments of government that enquiries do take place but most of the times results are not satisfactory.

A VICIOUS CIRCLE OF POPULATION GROWTH

Population of India is growing incessantly and all the statistical data shows that there is no decrease in its growth since 1951. Recent decadal growth of India is 21.34% from 1991 to 2001. And I am sure when the census would be done for the decade of 2001 to 2010 we must have left China behind.
But in political scenario seen is very different, the word “POPULATION” is a scary word in political fraternity. It appears so because no politician wants to talk about it. It is most ignored segment when it comes to nation’s development. No political party talks about it after it forms government but opposition parties do talk about it in low voice to increase the number of points to pulling leg before elections. For example BJP upheld this issue when congress was in government in MP for 10 years but when BJP came as ruling party it has done nothing about this issue may be because they were more busy in settling their internal fight with regards to “WHO WILL BE THE CHIEF MINISTER” which is any time the most significant thing even more than a nation’s (State’s) development.
In a developing country like India population growth is a biggest threat because it affects all the others matters directly or indirectly. Every country has limitation of resources and gross increase in population is creating scarcity and imbalance. It affects all sectors like shelter, there is not enough space to dwell people so we are moving towards forests cutting them which is creating another problem which is global warming, change in whether, drought and famine. These volcano eruptions, tsunami, earth quakes are all result of excess population on earth. There is not enough agriculture land now in a country like India which is so called agriculture based. Rather land selling and buying has become another profitable property business. It is effecting education, traffic, health, crime all sectors of human life is completely in a ridiculed stage because surplus increase of population is such a vicious circle around which all problems are revolving and no solution can be found out unless this circle is broken.

But why it is such an overlooked subject ? it is after the emergency of 1975 when during emergency population control program started which proved a failure because of unreasonable implementation of it and moreover emergency was not the right time to push any new program to achieve targets. It is well agreed that the way people were forced to get NASBANDI done generated a kind of annoyance among people which at last resulted in breakdown of Indira Gandhi government in next election. Indira Gandhi was a dynamic and far sighted leader who at least implemented this program for the welfare of nation but disadvantages of that program were more highlighted which unfortunately formed a stigma against population control issue amongst ruling parties. In 20 points program this matter is never taken seriously, rather no effective steps have been taken since then by any government. Now the consequences of that failure are so strong that still no government wants to lay a hand on any helpful program which may control population.
Population control matter needs urgent attention and this trend of political parties to circumvent it has to be stopped immediately. Our young and upcoming leaders should be pro-active and realize that this is most dangerous threat to India now there should be a pressure group who takes this as an agenda. Even common masses should also be active, assume a responsibility and work on their level and try to spread awareness in slum areas and in villages people who are not qualified enough to understand the ill effects of population growth.

Aarushi Murder /Investigation case: A Media Propoganda

Few days back CBI came out with the investigation results of Aarushi Murder case, do we really think whatever CBI has said is a complete reality or is some thing new for us. Similarly feels the media that still there is a need for more clear investigation and if media was looking forward to CBI then what was the hurry to reach to too many conclusion for all this period and make a hype that father killed a daughter or even about illicit relations and etc etc?
Is this some kind of a joke? It is completely media created hype that is did not let investigation go peacefully and CBI had to come out with very ordinary results which they even claim as predictions on the basis of some tests but not calling it a final conclusion. It is well agreed that a public pressure is necessary over authorities to fasten up procedure and helping them so they get more clear about investigation but electronic media has made whole country mad about it. Aarushi murder case is a hot cake, most watched on television as if this is only heinous crime ever committed in the country. It is seen very clearly that it was a serious crime but repeating same story on channels incessantly appears of no use and people do not really watch it!
There are also small children who watch television and listens to all discussions their parents do with others and their tender mind will only grasp negative things. The ‘great’ ways which these news channels have discovered of presenting news seems a thriller and not a news, which does affect children’s mind though adults do not really like it. Very recently I came to know about a small girl who was scared of her father and stopped talking to him because she was scared of him and she thought that a father may kill their children if they commit some mistake. This is what being projected by these news channels.
One news channel came out with this nonsense headline about Aarushi news “Sai Baba karenge kiski madad Krishna ki ya CBI officer ki, kyo ki dono hi bhakt hai sai baba ke” merely to create suspence or some new masala so that people listen to it. Is this what we call news to ? They misguide people every day with same kind of funny headlines. Do we feel that electronic media or (some) news channels are helpful.
There was a time when there was a famous case called NANAVATI CASE, there Mr. Nanavati killed his friend and his wife but he was released and a big reason behind it was public support to him and in getting that support media was solely responsible who made general public aware of real facts and gathered public support for Nanavati which even reflected in decision of Supreme Court. There also media played a pivotal role but not in this funny manner.
I as a lay person and on behalf of several others request that we do not want such news and stop being dramatic with crime related news. This is serving no good and not helping up to the extent as must have imagined. There should be some check over such news making or formation. Every right (whether right to freedom of expression) comes with a limitation which should not be crossed at least by such wise media people.
